| Primula Elizabeth Killelay |
|
| Primula Elizabeth Killelay is a re-introduction of the old florists double form of the gold-laced primula. It was discovered in the garden of Hazel Bolton where it was thriving despite the ravages of rabbits, moles and other hungry wildlife. It was named after Hazel Bolton's young granddaughter. It is a very robust and easily grown primula and as long as it is regularly divided will prove long-lived. A humus rich, retentive soil, in light shade would prove ideal but it seems very adaptable and is now being tried in a clay soil where it seems equally at home. |
